Barry Plath Fighting For Kids, Won’t Back Down To Kim
Barry Plath responded after his ex-wife, Kim Plath filed for custody of the three young kids. Welcome to Plathville fans saw that on the TLC show, Kim suddenly moved out, opened a dance studio, and decided she wanted Barry no more. Next, she started dating Ken Palmer. After leaving her now-ex to raise the children, she wants the minor kids to live with her.

Social media showed that the older daughter, Lydia Joy Plath, might have been schooling her little sisters, Amber, 15, Cassia, 13, and Mercy, 11. All of the kids were homeschooled until their mom took off. Separated for about two and a half years, Welcome to Plathville fans saw that on occasion. during the holiday season, Kim Plath caught up with the kids.
At the end of June, TLC fans heard that Barry Plath would need to fight for custody of his kids. Kim filed for permanent primary custody of their 3 minor children as well as child support. There wasn’t any hint as to why “the fit and proper mother” wanted custody two and a half years after leaving them in Barry’s care. However, she claimed that Barry had a job and could afford to pay her to support the children.

Welcome To Plathville Dad Responds
The Sun reported this week, that on July 16, papers were filed in Georgia by the TLC dad’s legal team. Interestingly, his custody claim seems almost identical to Kim Plath’s. The outlet cited the documents as saying:
Barry demands that he “should be awarded temporary and permanent custody” of the girls…the reality star “is in need of and entitled to temporary and permanent child support for the care and maintenance” of his daughters…he’s also asking for an “equitable division of marital property” and their marital debt to be split between the two parties.
Barry Plath might not roll over for his ex-wife. After all, Welcome to Plathville fans seem to have noticed a change in him since Kim Plath left. He works out, dresses better, and attracts a lot of attention from female fans. Notably, his kids all seem to adore him.
Kim Plath recently showed off her new home, which is a 33-foot Chris-Craft boat with tiny living quarters. Showing the girls around, she explained how it was cramped but livable. So, it seems that they probably won’t be living in Ken Palmer’s home if she wins the case.

I’m really not a huge fan of the show, but from what I have watched Barry deserves custody. She left the kids to start a new life on her own. Barry has gone up & above to be a great dad.
