Why Did Paula Deen Leave The Food Network?

As a result of the lawsuit, and what came out in the deposition, the Food Network made the decision to let Paula go after 14 years of working with her.
During the deposition, Paula Deen admitted that she used the n-word in the past. She was upfront about her use of hurtful language. When asked if she ever said the word, she said, “Yes, of course. That’s just not a word that we use as time has gone on. Things have changed since the ’60s in the south.”
She added, “And my children and my brother object to that word being used in any cruel or mean behavior. As well as I do.”
Eventually, she returned to television on a new show called Positively Paula on RFD-TV. The series only lasted two seasons before it was canceled. Now, it seems the celebrity chef is finding her footing again sharing recipes online.
