Could ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ Crossover With The Mothership?
NCIS: Tony & Ziva is about to start production in Europe. Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo are excited to bring this unique spinoff to Paramount+. However, some actors from the Mothership, as the original series is called, may want to do a crossover. Who wants to be part of this new adventure espionage series?
Could NCIS Stars Crossover To New Tony & Ziva Spinoff?
There is a lot of buzz around the upcoming NCIS: Tony & Ziva spinoff series. Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly are reprising their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo. In the new series, the two, along with their teenage daughter Tali, are running for their lives. They are trying to figure out who sabotaged Tony’s security company. Moreover, they need to know who is after them, before anything else happens.
The stakes are high because it is not just the two former NCIS agents. They have their daughter in tow. That adds a lot of complexity to their decision-making. It also adds some drama. Therefore, will the family need some help from the Mothership crew?
If it is up to Brian Dietzen and Wilmer Valderrama, they want in. Speaking to Deadline, Dietzen, who portrays Dr. Jimmy Palmer would love to be part of this spinoff. “I’m so happy for Michael and Cote and think John McNamara [Series Showrunner] is going to do a fantastic job for them.”
He added, “It sounds for atypical for NCIS as far as the storytelling because it won’t be a case-of-the-week type of show.” Then he added his enthusiasm to be a guest star. “That said, if they say: ‘Hey we need Jimmy Palmer on a plasma screen’ at any point, I’d say hell yes, that’d be fun, I’d do that in a heartbeat.”
As for Wilmer Valderrama, he is all game to head off to Europe and do a proper crossover guest star experience.
New Series Starts Filming Soon In Europe
The new NCIS: Tony & Ziva series is about to start filming in Europe. Although the obvious choice was to film in Paris, Michael Weatherly advised that because of the Paris Summer Olympics, that is not an option. Instead, they are filming elsewhere. “Budapest will stand in for parts of Europe and the cameras will move some very exciting other places.”
The new series will premiere on Paramount+ at the end of 2024.
