Tony And Ziva Back For New NCIS Spinoff
Less than two weeks after Michael Weatherly showed up in a cameo in the NCIS Ducky tribute episode, Deadline reported that there will be a new spinoff. Nicknamed NCIS: Europe, this series will focus on Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David.
Fans may remember that years ago, Ziva was presumed killed, leaving Tony to move to Paris to live and raise their daughter Tali. However, just a few years ago, Ziva returned, surprising everyone that she was alive.
Now, in this new series, the reunited couple are raising their daughter. But, things are not so rosy when there is an attack on Tony’s security company.
Now Tony and Ziva try to figure out who is behind the attack. Therefore, they travel through Europe, working together and learning to trust each other again. But, can they figure out who is behind this danger?
Both Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly are executive producers, along with showrunner John McNamara.
NCIS Fans Are Why This Spinoff Is Happening
Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo shared a joint statement. First, they revealed that this idea has been brewing for quite some time.
We’ve been talking about this story for many years, and now with John McNamara at the helm, we are ready.
Next, they promised that this NCIS spinoff would have all the feels.
The world of Tony and Ziva (and daughter Tali) promises to be an action-packed roller coaster fueled by love, danger, tears, and laughter.
Lastly, they wanted to thank the fans.
We also want to acknowledge and thank the fans from around the world who supported the “Tina” movement for years. To this day, they say hello in grocery stores and on the street to tell us how much these characters mean to them and ask what Tony and Ziva are up to now. This is for you!
When Will The TIVA Spinoff Premiere?
The new Tony and Ziva spinoff series does not have a premiere date. However, they will start filming on location in Europe soon.
Also, it appears that they intend to release this new series in the Fall of 2024.
How Many Episodes In TIVA NCIS Spinoff?
There will be 10 episodes in the still unnamed NCIS TIVA spinoff.
Will Tony And Ziva Spinoff Air On CBS?
Unlike Mark Harmon’s new young Gibbs NCIS spinoff Origins, the new Tony and Ziva international series will not air on CBS. Instead, it will stream on Paramount+.
Currently, Paramount+ has all of the NCIS shows available to stream.
