Vanna White Recalls Mistake She Made On ‘Wheel Of Fortune’
There are only two more weeks for Vanna White and Pat Sajak to work together on Wheel of Fortune. After that, Pat retires and when the game show returns next season, Ryan Seacrest will team with Vanna on the show as the new hosting duo. As she prepares for a change, Vanna has looked back on her career as the co-host and letter turner.
According to Vanna, she only remembers making one major mistake in her entire career on Wheel of Fortune.
Vanna White On Her One Mistake On Wheel Of Fortune
Vanna White has been on Wheel of Fortune for 42 years and she has enjoyed a great time throughout those four decades on the show. In a recent interview, she mentioned that out of those 42 years, she has only made one major mistake in her career that she remembers.
Vanna said the mistake came when the puzzle’s answer included the name Spock (from Star Trek). However, her mistake came because she knew the answers so she could uncover the letters and this one time, she got confused about the answer. She said that she didn’t remember if it was Dr. Spock or Mr. Spock. However, when the player either said “D” or “M” (she didn’t remember which), she turned over the wrong letter.
“I looked up and it was not the letter that [the contestant] called. But that was the only time,” Vanna said (via TV Insider). With that being the only mistake she can remember after 42 years on Wheel of Fortune, it sounds like it was a pretty flawless career.

“I can’t describe how I feel. I feel happy for him.” Vanna continued, “I can’t imagine doing the show without him after 41 years; I sum it up as [like] reading a good book. It always has to end. This has been the best book I’ve ever read.”
Vanna mentioned that the two of them traveled the world together and they watched each other’s kids grow up together. She said he is funny and she loves him like a brother. “Gosh, I’ve known him longer than I’ve known anybody,” she said. “We will be friends forever.”
Pat Sajak’s last episode on Wheel of Fortune will be Friday, June 7.

the contestant was showing off and she did not seem to take the Wheel of Fortune seriously. Her first answer was incorrect and she should not have been given coaching by Pat Sajak. The time allowed to answer the bonus question is for contestants who are seriously trying to solve the puzzle.
