Kin Shriner Reveals His Future On ‘General Hospital’
Kin Shriner was one of the main characters on General Hospital at one point. Although he has appeared on a number of other soap operas, Shriner is best known for his role as Scotty Baldwin. However, rumors have been circulating about Kin Shriner’s future in Port Charles. He recently opened up about the rumors and whether or not they were true. Keep reading to see what he had to say.
Kin Shriner Hints At Exit From General Hospital
In recent years, Kin Shriner’s role on General Hospital has decreased somewhat. Fans haven’t seen much of him on the daytime soap opera.
After Scotty’s relationship with Liesl (Kathleen Gati) ended, viewers have seen less of him on General Hospital. Right now, Scotty is dating Lucy (Lynn Herring). Their affair led to her split from Martin (Michael E. Knight).
Since their love affair kicked off, Kin Shriner’s character has been trying to help his new girlfriend deceive Sasha (Sofia Mattson). Lucy sabotaged Sasha and Scotty is helping her continue to do so.
While a break from General Hospital isn’t surprising, many people have been wondering where Kin Shriner has been. Following a recent social media post Shriner made, some are questioning if his time on the beloved soap opera may be coming to an end.
Last week, Kin Shriner shared a montage of photos on Instagram of his time on General Hospital. The array of photos played to John Lennon’s Imagine. There were several throwback photos that made fans nostalgic about the time Kin Shriner has spent on the show.
He wrote in the caption, “I started out confused and still confused where is Scotty Baldwin well had a great ride for dam sure!!!!”
Seeing the set of photos along with the caption shocked some fans. There have been several posts where Shriner seemed to hint at his exit from the long-running soap opera.
Shriner Responds To Rumors That He’s Leaving
She Knows Soaps reported on the Instagram post, questioning whether or not he was leaving General Hospital. Kin Shriner responded to the post on X of the article.

He revealed that he is scheduled to film “next week.” It isn’t uncommon for soap veterans like Kin Shriner to take extended breaks from filming. Other actors like Genie Francis (Laura) nd Finola Hughes (Anna) have taken months off from filming for the show.
Scotty Baldwin hasn’t been a main character on General Hospital in a while. However, with new writers coming in, there’s potential for him to be more active on the show.
This means that fans can expect to see more of Scotty Baldwin in the coming weeks on General Hospital. Also, viewers will likely get to see more of the “Deception” storyline play out with Lucy and Sasha.
It is predicted that Lois (Rena Sofer) will be asked to become the new spokesperson for the cosmetic company following Lucy’s mess-up.
