First of all, how long have the two even known each other? According to Maria, she first connected with Nick over seven years ago.

“To say that we didn’t have a past, that would be a lie,” Maria admitted on the podcast.

When he found out she was going to be a contestant on Season 28 of The Bachelor, Nick Viall had a shocking prediction. “People are going to come after you no matter what. I can just see it. You’re going to be the villain,'” he told Maria.

His prediction turned out to be true, but Maria said that he had some blame for the drama with Sydney Gordon.

Why She Blames Him For Sydney Gordon Drama

Maria Georgas revealed that she’s not the only one with close connections to Bachelor Nation alums. She told podcast host Alex Cooper that Sydney Gordon is good friends with Ashley Iaconetti.

Ashley is also good friends with Nick Viall, something that gave Maria pause. “Part of me was like, was this all planned? Because I knew I was innocent, hand to God.”

She began to wonder if Nick and Ashley had a hand in her getting the villain edit. Maria explained, “So, when this all started happening, and then imagine dealing with that in the house and then coming out and seeing that she’s friends with Nick, I was like, there’s something conspiring.”

Despite her questions, Maria said there was “no animosity” between her and Nick Viall. She previously made up with Sydney Gordon during the Women Tell All special.
