‘Vanderpump Rules’ EP, Alex Baskin Brings New Off Season Show

Vanderpump Rules Cast - Bravo

Vanderpump Rules and Real Housewives fans are familiar with Executive Producer Alex Baskin and news came that he’s doing a new show. Bravo drama significantly boosted his rep for good television, so fans of the show might want to check out what’s up with a new reality docuseries.

Alex Baskin Recently Weighed In On Vanderpump Rules Rachel

“Scandoval” still gets coverage and it boosted the Vanderpump Rules ratings to the point where fans questioned whether it was all a marketing ploy. Whatever went down, it seemed like nothing could top Season 10. However, the transition seemed to go well enough in the aftermath. Rachel “Raquel” Leviss left the show, and she went into treatment after she was caught cheating on Ariana Madix.

It was Alex Baskin who reassured fans of Vanderpump Rules that production offered Rachel “Raquel” Leviss support if she returned, but she felt fearful of the cast’s reactions. Still, he felt that she made the right decision. With that Bravo drama behind him, he turned his mind to other shows, and now, the news arrived that one is in the pipeline. He takes some heat for Vanderpump Rules at the moment.

The Offseason Is A Docuseries Show

Variety reported that the new show will be a docuseries focused on sports. Notably, there are some good names in the production team. Apart from Alex producing, there will also be “Jeff Festa and Shari Levine for 32 Flavors.” Meanwhile, Box to Box Films brings Martin and James Gay-Rees. Actually, the show called “The Off Season” has already started production.

Alex Baskin, the CEO of 32 Flavors, said in a statement:

This was a story that needed to be told, and one that we think represents an entirely new lane of programming.

What Is The Story About?

Midge Purce is a player in the National Women’s Soccer League and also represents the U.S. Women’s National Team. What has that got to do with Vanderpump Rules? Well, she explained that the show’s “a mix of ‘Vanderpump Rules’ meets ‘Drive to Survive.” The Offseason series brings “six episodes” that follow “NWSL players during their off-season.”

Based in Miami, viewers of the show with Alex Baskin behind the scenes, will follow the lives of the athletes. Much like Winter House, they will “party, and live together.” Additionally, viewers will see them training over two weeks. It’s a chance to get to see something of their personal lives.

What are your thoughts about Alex Baskin’s 32 Flavors partnering with Alexis Ohanian, Midge Purce, and Box to Box Films to bring a docuseries called The Offseason? He’s got a really good rep as the executive producer for Vanderpump Rules, so it should be a quality show.
