Lexi Young seemed to be a front-runner on Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor. However, on their one-on-one date, she asked him tough questions and wasn’t very excited about his response. After thinking things over, Lexi decided that her future was not with Joey, so she self-eliminated. What happened and what did she share after? Keep reading to find out more.
Lexi Young Opens Up About Leaving Joey Graziadei
Fans were shocked when Lexi Young decided to end her time on The Bachelor. After having a serious conversation with Joey Graziadei on their date, she realized their timelines for the future do not match up. He wants a long engagement and then to wait even longer to have children. She does not want to wait that long.
So, Lexi decided to pack up and leave the show. They had a great connection which made it even harder.
Now that she is off the show, she went to Instagram to share her thoughts about leaving. She shared a photo of her and Joey and began by saying, “My experience on @bachelorabc has been a whirlwind to say the least, but I couldn’t be more thankful that I pushed myself out of my comfort zone to take this leap of faith. I know this journey didn’t end quite how I expected it to, but I know and understand that everyone has their own timeline for their personal journey and these timelines don’t always align.”
Lexi went on to say that she appreciates the producers allowing her the platform to share her endometriosis story with the world. She also thanked Joey for being non-judgemental. She said, “Thank you to Joey for showing me that a safe, non-judgmental, and kind love exists and is possible, and for setting the bar so high for my next relationship.”
