Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Joins ‘On Patrol: Live’

On the heels of losing one sheriff’s office, Reelz confirms a new department is joining On Patrol: Live. Indian River County Sheriff’s Office out of Florida took to social media yesterday to announce they were joining the show.

Indian River County Sheriff’s Office Joins On Patrol: Live

In a very exciting post on Instagram, Indian River County celebrated joining On Patrol: Live.

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office will be appearing in the television documentary series On Patrol: Live, starting Friday, December 8. On Patrol: Live airs Friday and Saturday Nights from 9pm to 12am ET on REELZ.”

Sheriff Eric Flowers also issued a statement on his office joining the series: “We are excited to show the hard work and dedication of the men and women of the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office. As a leader in technology and innovation, we believe appearing on the show will allow the public to see how we are preventing crimes and solving problems on a daily basis.”

As the announcement confirms, fans can expect Indian River County to make its On Patrol: Live debut tomorrow. Unfortunately, this episode also marks the official exit of Weld County who will no longer be with the series. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Weld County does hope to return to the series in the future.

Viewers FURIOUS Over New Addition

While viewers want it to be clear they are not attacking Indian River County, they are NOT happy about the new addition to the show. On Reddit, viewers point out that every time a sheriff’s office exits the show, they are replaced by a department in the state of Florida. Fans jokingly added that the series may soon be renamed “Florida Man: Live” instead.

Unfortunately, this means the network also ignored fans. Ignored when they begged for someone outside of Florida to replace Weld County. It, however, is important to keep in mind the network likely already signed a contract with Indian River. After all, Weld County announced their exit the same day Indian River announced joining the show.
