Hollywood Christmas Parade: The History

This year, Retired U.S. Army Col. Paris D. Davis had the honor of being the Grand Marshal for the 91st Annual Hollywood Christmas Parade.

Once referred to as the Santa Clause Lane Parade, the parade first took place back in 1928. The parade has only been cancelled a few times over the years including 1942 to 1944 because of World War II and 2020 because of the pandemic.

Many news stations including KTLA 5 News also promise to air the parade in its entirety on December 15th. Many outlets have also uploaded clips of the parade via YouTube.
