Jessa Duggar Seewald Reveals A Family Member Has Given Birth To First Child

Over the weekend, former Counting On star, Jessa Duggar Seewald took to her Instagram stories to congratulate a family member on the birth of their first child! As one could imagine, there is almost always a baby on the way in the Duggar’s immediate and extended family. Read on for more details about the newest little one and information on baby Seewald #5.

Lots of Little Cousins

Without a doubt, Jessa always knew that her kids would have many cousins to grow up around. With her husband, Ben Seewald, also coming from a large family with seven kids, this reality was even more likely. On the Duggar side, Jessa and Ben’s kids have a remarkable 23 confirmed cousins, with speculations that a few Duggar babies have been born away from the public eye. The Seewald brood now has a cousin on their father’s side with the birth of Michelle Seewald Barger’s first child.

Seewald Family Growing

Over the weekend, Ben Seewald’s little sister, Michelle Seewald Barger, shared the big news. She and her husband, Elijah Barger, have welcomed their first child. Michelle took to Instagram to share an intimate post featuring photos of their precious addition.

She captioned the post with, “Bless the Lord oh my soul! Isla Jane Barger finally made her appearance on 11/3/23. welcome to the world Little love.” Jessa was quick to comment her congratulations. “What a precious gift from God! She’s beautiful, just like her Mama.” She also shared the post to her stories stating, “Congratulations, Elijah and Michelle. There are many reasons to thank the Lord daily for his good gifts, but new life is by far one of the greatest.”

Duggar-Seewald Summer Update

In a new family vlog Jessa Duggar Seewald shares all about the family’s summer and why she was absent from social media during that time.

The family spent their summer adventuring and working their fixer-upper. They decided to move in expectation of their ever-growing family, as they were quickly filling up their first home. She has shared many updates that they have made to their home on her Instagram page. Over the summer, they made repairs to their privacy fencing, did a ton of landscaping, fixed up a playground area for the kids, expanded the backyard, and added a back deck.

Jessa and Ben currently have 4 children together, Spurgeon, 7, Henry, 6, Ivy, 4, and Fern, 2. Last year, they announced that they experienced a miscarriage. The couple took to Instagram on October 2, 2023 to announce that their rainbow baby was on the way!

“Every heartbeat heard, every ultrasound seen, every appointment with a good report… the worries fade a little bit more. God has blessed us beyond measure, and YOU ARE SO, SO LOVED, my little one.
#rainbowbaby” the caption reads.
