Ben and Jessa currently share four children, Spurgeon, 8, Henry, 6, Ivy, 4, and Fern, 2. Before welcoming Fern to the world, they sadly suffered a miscarriage. But now, their family is growing once again.
The former Counting On stars suffer a tragic miscarriage.
Ben and Jessa opened up to fans in February to reveal they suffered a miscarriage around the holidays in 2022. This was devastating to the couple, of course, as they were thrilled to be growing their family. After her miscarriage, Jessa Duggar ended up needing a D&C, which was controversial among fans and critics.
Now that much of that drama has blown over and Ben and Jessa have healed, and now, their rainbow baby is on the way. A rainbow baby is a baby born after a miscarriage or loss.

In their new YouTube video, which they released on Saturday, September 9, Ben and Jessa revealed that their fifth little one is on the way!
In the description, she wrote, “After a heartbreaking loss last year, we’re so thankful God has blessed us with a rainbow baby!”
Then, in the video, she showed off her pregnancy test on the counter and said, “After the heartbreaking loss of our baby last year, we found out some wonderful news that our rainbow baby is on the way, and we could not be more excited.”
Unfortunately, this video doesn’t offer many details about Jessa’s current pregnancy, such as the due date. But hopefully, she will spill more information soon. Throughout the rest of the video, Jessa and Ben brought fans along on their romantic beach getaway without the kids. She noted that the trip was in April 2023, but it’s unclear when she found out she was pregnant.

As we’ve reported, rumors have swirled about Ben and Jessa possibly having a baby on the way. But until now, fans haven’t had the official confirmation they’ve been expecting.

I read several comments on Reddit that people were saying that Jessa would announce her pregnancy a day or two before Jill and Derricks new book was set to be released. They were all speculating and they were all 100% correct. They all said this was to deflect from Jill’s book release.
