‘Teen Mom’ Chelsea Houska Debuts Drastic New Look

Teen Mom star Chelsea Houska recently debuted a drastic new look after changing her hair not long ago.

The reality TV star took to social media to unveil the look. And fans were delighted, taking to the comments to praise her drastic new makeover. Read on to find out what Chelsea did to update her look and why fans are feeling it.

Chelsea Has Had Hair Regrets Before

Chelsea Houska has tried a variety of looks out before. Some worked out pretty well for her. Others, not so much. Last year, an old clip of Chelsea on Teen Mom resurfaced on the internet, and it inspired some buzz.

In the throwback clip, Chelsea was wearing a rough dark brown wig. In a 2016 tweet referencing the look, she called it “disgusting.” Last year, Chelsea addressed it again. She explained, “Can we talk about that disgusting wig? I had colored my hair & they made me wear it, I cried for about an hour before doing it.” According to Teen Mom alums, if the girls ever changed their hair in the early episodes of the show, they would have to wear a wig. It’s not uncommon for reality TV shows to use wigs and certain outfits to maintain an apparent timeline.

But the Teen Mom girls did not enjoy their wig experiences.

At least now, Chelsea Houska is free to style her hair however she wants and no wigs are required.

Late last month, Chelsea unveiled a new hairstyle on social media. Or rather, it was an old hairstyle. Chelsea decided to go back to her choppy layers, with red overtones and mahogany undertones. On social media, she shared the process she underwent for her new look. It included bleaching her then-black hair, dyeing it the rich and multi-tonal red, sewing in extensions, and styling layers.

On Tuesday, she revealed the look again. This time, her hair color has seemingly settled from being freshly done. It appeared slightly lighter than in the post she made unveiling the look. It’s possible that the color has faded somewhat since she left the salon. Or she may have decided it was too dark and asked her stylist to lighten it up for summer. In the video, she was standing in the kitchen with her husband, Cole DeBoer. Chelsea only showed off half her face while she flashed a peace sign and made kissy faces at the camera. The Teen Mom star wore a light green shirt with light blue, high-waisted jeans.
