Episode 1: The First Celeb Voted Off

When you’re competing, you never want to be the first one to lose. But somebody has to be. For Season 1 of Stars on Mars, the first person voted off was actor Christopher Mintz-Plasse.

Marshawn Lynch was tapped as the base commander for the first episode. Then everything turned topsy-turvy when an emergency message from host William Shatner informed the crew that they needed to rescue the 12th member of their team. Lance Armstrong and Ronda Rousey were picked for the rescue mission and recovered the last member of the team, Natasha Leggero.

Tom Schwartz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Adam Rippon were all picked as the bottom three celebs at the end. And Christopher was chosen to leave the experiment first.

Episode 2: The Culling Continues

In the next episode, Tallulah Willis was chosen as the base commander. Tallulah tapped Natasha Leggero as the “mission specialist” as the team grappled with a water emergency. That meant Natasha was safe from elimination, but it ultimately spelled the next celebrity’s doom.

After a failed mission to retrieve water, Natasha picked Tom, Marshawn, and Tallulah as the bottom three. Ultimately, Tallulah Willis’ time as leader was her last, and she was sent home second.

Episode 3: Space Madness Comes For The Stars on Mars Celebrities

By the time episode 3 rolled around, crew member and NFL player Richard Sherman was already struggling with “space madness.” Richard was picked to repair part of the biodome’s exterior. While he did his job adequately, it was clear that he was mentally checked out.

At the end of the episode, Richard essentially sent himself home. Done with the stressors of living in the Martian colony, he told his teammates, “I feel like I’ve done my part.” Richard went home third.

Episode 4: Double The Peril

Episode 4 turned into a surprise for the whole team. Ronda Rousey was picked as the base commander while the team dealt with a biological contaminant.

Ronda led the team while Ariel Winter was chosen as the mission specialist, so she was safe from elimination. And this episode was particularly interesting due to the fact that the celebrities were given actual flamethrowers to tackle the space fungus invading their habitat.

The team was able to defeat the contaminant, but William Shatner informed them that they were low on resources and two people must be voted out. Natasha Leggero, Adam Rippon, and Tom Schwartz were in the bottom three. Ultimately, Adam was thought to be more integral to the experiment’s success. So Natasha and Tom were eliminated together.

Episode 5: The Deep Breath Before The Plunge in Stars on Mars

As the series approached the halfway mark, they were down 5 celebrities and were starting to fall into a pattern.

This time, a spacecraft landed on Mars and it provided a boon to the crew still left in the habitat. Because there were ample supplies, no one had to be eliminated at the end of the episode.
