Al Roker’s Wife Gets Emotional, Talks Of Struggles & Happiness
Sharing what she referred to as “Thursday thoughts” in her most recent Instagram post, Deborah admitted it was so hard for her to think about the fact that it has been three years since the height of the pandemic when the world seemingly shut down.
Struggling to keep@our distance, live reporting from the street, or at home…only…searching for that chic mask. And no sense of FOMO since we were all stranded in similar ways. So, I’m wondering…are you much happier at this moment or did you leave something valuable behind?”
Al Roker’s wife ended her emotional post with a question that really hit her followers in their feelings. She wanted to know if they enjoyed being locked down, wearing masks, and keeping a distance. Or, if they were happier to finally be on the other side of the lockdown.
Her Followers Shared Mixed Feelings
Some of Deborah Robert’s followers admit they enjoyed being locked in their homes and away from other people. There were also some people who admitted they still wear masks when they got out in public because they got sick a lot less during the pandemic.
Sadly, some of her followers informed her that they did leave something behind. These followers were referring to the loved ones they lost during the pandemic. There, however, were just as many individuals chiming in to note they were lucky enough not to lose anyone during the pandemic.
The post also stirred some concern as many of her fans wondered what had her so deep in her feelings about the pandemic. Here’s what some of her fans penned in the comments:
- “I’m definitely not happier. I can’t stand crowds anymore. My husband and I lost friends and family during the pandemic. I also got disappointed with friends and family and their attitude towards the pandemic.”
- “I hate to admit this, because it makes me a weirdo… but I was very happy ‘stuck’ at home. I realize that there was much hardship and loss for others and I am truly sorry for that!”
- “I loved being home and the slower pace of life. I don’t miss the uncertainty of who was sick or trying to not get sick. I’m trying to figure out how to hold on to that slower pace of life.”
There were also a few of Deborah’s followers who reminded her that COVID was still very much a threat and that both she and her husband Al Roker should be careful.
