Kourtney Kardashian has made it official with her husband Travis Barker and she took to Instagram yesterday evening to tell her 223M Instagram followers all about it. What did she make official exactly? Keep reading for the details.

Kourtney Kardashian Makes It Official With Travis Barker

Sharing a black and white identification photo of herself, Kourtney Kardashian revealed it was finally official. She has taken her husband Travis Barker’s last name. She penned in the caption attached to the close-up snap of her passport: “say my name.” 

In the comments, it did not slip past fans that this reveal immediately followed Kim Karashian’s DMV episode. During the episode, fans watched as Kim dragged her glam team to the DMV with her as she was committed to looking her best in her driver’s license photo. Some fans ripped Kourtney as it felt like the post was an attempt to compete with Kim.

There were also fans who took issue with Kourtney keeping the name Kardashian on her passport as well. These fans argued that if Kourtney was really making it official with her husband Travis she would have ditched the name Kardashian and fully accepted his name as her new last name.

Some Fans Supported Her, Others Didn’t

Not everyone rushed to hate Kourtney Kardashian in the comments, though. Paris Hilton dropped in with a heart-eyed emoji and Hulu encouraged people to say her name louder. Here are some of the other comments (both positive and negative) left by her followers:

  • “shouldve just been kourtney barker”
  • “Did they shut down the DMV for you too or just Kim?!”
  • “Who in the world would flex about their drivers license.”
  • “Kourtney is totally mocking Kim’s episode from today”

Now, there were some fans who didn’t think Kourtney was trying to compete with her sister Kim over her recent driver’s license episode. These fans thought Kourtney was actually mocking her sister with this post.

Kourtney Kardashian did have some fans who were scratching their heads as they couldn’t understand why both an episode and a post spent so much time focusing on a driver’s license (Kim) and a passport (Kourtney). These fans thought the entire thing was a weird flex.

Moreover, Kourtney also caught some heat as she married Travis a year ago and shouldn’t have waited so long to take his last name.
