‘Mama June: Family Crisis’ At Risk Of Cancellation?
Is Mama June: Family Crisis at risk of being canceled? Currently, the cast has received a decent amount of pushback from fans. Last season, they felt that June was unnecessary and a bad parent. Then, viewers saw the way that Pumpkin and Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompon talked about their fans on TikTok. That was when the comments demanded that they lose their jobs. Mama June: Family Crisis At Risk Of Cancellation?
A lot has happened since Mama June got her own show. Once Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was canceled, the family was able to rebound. June got an extensive makeover which included a tummy tuck, lipo, breast lift, and an implant. She then had her arms done as well as a facelift and eventually got new teeth. The show focused on her new life with Alana and eventually watching Pumpkin have a baby and get married in Vegas. Plus, June found love with Geno Doak. Sadly, she went down a dark path of substance abuse and got arrested.
Alana soon went to live with Pumpkin and her family while Mama June got herself back together. Her second eldest daughter, Jessica ‘Chubbs’ lived with Pumpkin, as well. Pumpkin went on to have three more babies while June found a new romance and a husband in Alabama. There has been a lot of recurring drama in the family but why would the show run the risk of getting canceled aside from crude TikTok rants? A Reddit thread has been started to address this.
There are several variables including subpar ratings, Alana going to college, and the aforementioned online shenanigans. Fellow Redditors chimed in. “They will milk this out until HBB has a baby or until they get her weight loss surgery or something,” one noted. Another wanted the show to end ASAP: “I sure hope so, WE tv can do so much better. I am biding my time until love after lockup comes back on.”
Could This Be The End?
As an aforementioned Redditor pointed out, Mama June can milk it out until Alana has a baby. That is the general consensus. However, that may not necessarily be true as diehard fans might want to see Alana prepare for college. More so, they may way to see her getting ready to say goodbye to her family. So, this would be a good, genuine, heartfelt moment that this series truly needs to stay afloat.
