What family member has abandoned Mama June Shannon and her daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell? It seems that Anna’s cancer diagnosis has only brought the family closer. What Family Member Has Abandoned Mama June & Anna?

Mama June Shannon has had a rough relationship with her daughters. They have constantly felt that she has chosen men over them. Her eldest daughter, Anna ‘Chickadee’ Cardwell especially had longstanding issues with her mother. She never appeared on her shows as an adult and rarely made appearances. However, it recently came out that Anna was battling stage 4 cancer. That appeared to really have bonded June and Anna. June has been by her daughter’s side as much as she can. She is even helping with her two children and getting them to better understand the severity of the situation.

Unfortunately, there is one family member that has not come around at all. According to The Sun, Mama June claims that her sister, Doe Doe is MIA. This is actually quite shocking as she was there for Pumpkin when June was in Alabama and could not play Grandma. Plus, she would do TikTok challenges with Anna all of the time. Per June: “We don’t talk to her, and she hasn’t been around since Anna found out she has cancer.” Yet, is Doe Doe kept in the loop?

“She knows every time she goes to the doctor, she has not been around the family since Anna has had cancer. She hasn’t shown up for one treatment,” Mama June added. The mother of four concluded with: “She has not shown up at all.” June claims that some people like to do things for show yet she is not one of those people. She says that she will do things behind the scenes that others do not even know about. Doe Doe did not respond to The Sun for a comment about what June had to say.

Mending Fences

As for her relationship with Anna, Mama June says that it was not made better by the cancer diagnosis. Rather, they had been working on it prior. Fortunately, June can further assist with whatever Anna currently needs. She will be featured in this season of Family Crisis as June and her husband, Justin Stroud had a vow renewal. Anna along with her sisters Pumpkin, Alana, and Jessica were in the wedding so that will be interesting and nice to see.
