However, in this case, Kemp co-developed this new mystery series, and both leads are executive producers.
The second new mystery is Aurora Teagarden: Something New. This is a reimagined version of the fan-favorite. This time it is a prequel that stars Skyler Samuels as the younger sleuth, in her early sleuthing days and Real Murders Club. The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango Is New Hallmark Signature Mystery
Will Kemp and Lacey Chabert are reunited, and dancing together again in The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango. In this movie, a rather prim and proper detective, Constance Bailey, is sent to Malta to solve a murder. This murder has to do with a ballroom dance event where a CEO was murdered. This event is a ballroom extravaganza for high-ranking executives. That means that Constance has to get it right, and it has to be the first time.
That means she needs to be on the dance floor. However, Constance has no rhythm and cannot dance. In comes Sebastian Moore. He is the polar opposite of Detective Constance Bailey. He is open and free and is a ballroom dance expert. Instantly, the opposites are attracted to each other.
More so, he is ready to teach her how to dip and do all of those dance moves perfectly. However, the good detective has too many suspects with good reasons to kill. Can she figure out who the murderer is before they get to her?
This movie was filmed in Malta.
The Dancing Detective: A Deadly Tango premieres on Friday, June 2, at 9 p.m., Eastern, on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
What Is Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New About?
In this new Hallmark mystery, we go back in time to when Ro returns home to Lawrenceton. She has just finished college, and she is working as a teaching assistant. The class should be of no surprise. This class is on crime fiction.
However, Aurora needs to become a waitress during suppertime to help keep her afloat as she chooses her post-graduate thesis. During the day, she researches true crime. But, she is not alone. She is with her pal Sally, and a young police officer, Arthur.
Soon, her studying has to halt because Aurora is going to be the maid of honor for Sally’s wedding. However, when Sally’s fiancé doesn’t show up at the wedding rehearsal, things get tense. Therefore, when a body is found, they all assume it is her fiancé.
When it isn’t him, they all start to wonder if he is the killer.
