‘The Masked Singer’ To Celebrate 100-Year Milestone
The Masked Singer has loaded up its ninth season with theme nights. This past Wednesday night, the show had its 80s Night, where a singer in a Doll costume impressed the judges and moved on. Now, it is time to celebrate a 100-year milestone on the show.
Next week’s episode will be Warner Bros. Night, and here is what fans can expect.
The Masked Singer celebrates Warner Bros. Night
The Masked Singer Season 9 has had a lot of themed nights so far. It all started in Week 2 with ABBA Night and continued on with New York Night, DC Superheroes Night, Sesame Street Night, Country Night, 80s Night, and now it is time for Warner Bros. Night.
There will be a special treat for fans as the three singers competing this week all have sung songs in Warner Bros. movies in the past and they will perform fan-favorite songs from the studio. The episode will celebrate the milestone that is 100 years that Warner Bros. has spent in the entertainment industry.
As mentioned, not only will the singers be performing songs from Warner Bros. movies, but they also previously performed songs in movies from the movie studio.
Examples of songs from Warner Bros. movies include major hits like Brian Adams’ “Everything I Do (I Do For You)” (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves), George Strait’s “I Cross My Heart” (Pure Country), Judy Garland’s “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” (The Wizard of Oz), and several songs from last year’s hit movie Elvis.
Who has moved on so far this season on The Masked Singer?
As mentioned, Doll won last week’s competition and has moved on to this round. As we mentioned, we are almost certain that Dee Snider of Twister Sister is Doll on The Masked Singer. For those who wonder how Dee connects with Warner Bros. movies, Twister Sister appeared in the Warner Bros. movie Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, when Pee-Wee Herman interrupted their video for “Burn in Hell” (which they were singing during the scene).
The last singer to move on to the quarterfinals was Macaw on Country Night. That night, the singer sang “Live While You Were Dying” by Tim McGraw and then Shania Twain’s “That Don’t Impress Me Much” in the Battle Royale. We believe that Macaw is David Archuletta.
California Roll was a multi-person group that moved on. There are five people in this group and on New York Night, they sang “Paparazzi” by Lady Gaga and then the Battle Royal was Billy Joel’s “Uptown Girl.” We are certain that California Roll is Pentatonix.
The judges also kept Medusa that week, and with that save, we believe Medusa is Bishop Briggs.
