Who Is Doll On ‘The Masked Singer’: All The Clues
The Masked Singer was back this week with three brand-new contestants. Last week, Macaw won and moved on to the quarterfinals, so it was time to bring out some new singers with some new costumes. This included Doll, Scorpio, and Moose.
However, Doll won the week, and here is who we think is under the costume.
Who Is Doll On The Masked Singer?
Doll on The Masked Singer was not a cute version of that particular character. This was a scary-looking stitched-up doll with a button for an eye and its mouth was sewn closed. Yet, even with the sewed-up mouth, he was able to win 80s night with their performance.
As aforementioned, it was 80s night, so it was time to hear some classic 80s songs from the competitors. The first round saw Moose come out and sing “The Power of Love” by Huey Lewis and the News. Scorpio sang Cyndi Lauper’s classic “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Lastly, Doll sang “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” by Simple Minds.
After that round, the fans voted and it was Moose who went home first. He unmasked and revealed himself to be George Wendt. Most fans know George from his role as Norm Peterson on Cheers.
That led to the Battle Royale, which is where the two remaining singers sing together and only one can move on. Scorpio and Doll sang “Hungry Like the Wolf” by Duran Duran and Doll ended up winning the night and moving on to the next week. Scorpio unmasked as Christine Quinn, a star from the reality TV show Selling Sunset.
So, who is Doll on The Masked Singer? Let’s look at the clues.
What Are Doll’s Clues On The Masked Singer?
As aforementioned, Doll sang “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” by Simple Minds in the first round of the competition. In the second, it was the Battle Royale where he sang “Hungry Like the Wolf” by Duran Duran.
The clues included a house full of toy barnyard animals, a Broadway playbill, a lipstick kiss, cans of hairspray, and the word “Ghostwriter.” Moreover, Doll also said his Misfits get together to form a Crew. He then said he used to work on horror movies and now works with a Grammy winner.
We are certain that Doll is none other than 1980s legend, and heavy metal icon Dee Snider of the metal band Twister Sister. His band is known for the hit songs “We’re Not Gonna Take It” and “I Wanna Rock.” His voice was pretty clearly identified in his performances.
As for the clues, the Broadway playbill is explained by one of Dee Snider’s solo albums, Dee Does Broadway, where he sang show tunes with his one rock and roll slant to them. The lipstick kiss is from the cover of the Twisted Sister album Love is for Suckers. Lastly, the hairspray is obvious for anyone who has seen Dee Snider.
More so, he has also worked in horror movies, writing the 1998 movie Strangeland.
