On Thursday’s broadcast of the Today Show, Savannah Guthrie got personal with Hoda Kotb. It even came as a shock to Jenna Bush Hager. All three co-hosts discussed faith, family, and relationship as part of Today’s “Talker” segment. Savannah turned to Hoda and asked her a personal question.

“Well, let me ask you this Hoda,” Savannah Guthrie said. “Cause you’re thinking you might date again one day.”

“Ooo. You’re going there,” Jenna responded with a shocked expression on her face. “We’re talking about it.”

Savannah ignored Jenna’s response. She kept her focus on Hoda and kept asking her questions. “Can we pre-screen your potential dates?” she asked her. Hoda admitted that she “trusts” both of her co-hosts.

Savannah Guthrie offered to be Hoda’s matchmaker. Hoda said she would trust them enough to go on a date with the lucky guy. Savannah smiled as she looked at Jenna, who admitted that she was working on setting her up with a man. Hoda shared that Jenna is good at being a wing woman.

“I have a screening process they go through,” Savannah Guthrie chimed in before turning to Jenna, “You find them, I’ll screen them.”

In January 2022, Hoda Kotb and Joel Schiffmann ended their relationship. The former couple shares two daughters. The two met during an event involving Wall Street financiers in 2013. Hoda admitted that Joel wanted her signature before leaving the event.

Joel popped the question to Hoda in late 2019. She shared the news on November 25, 2019, with her co-anchors. Their wedding plans were set for 2020, but then the COVID-19 pandemic happened. The two learned a lot about each other during that time.

Hoda Kotb broke the news with Savannah Guthrie on Today on January 31, 2022. She admitted that they were “better off as friends.” While she was disappointed about the split, she’s confident that they will be even better friends and co-parents.
