Today show weathercaster Al Roker updated fans on his co-host, Hoda Kotb’s absence from the show. Hoda has been on a hiatus for more than two weeks now and fans seem worried for her. Hoda Kotb Briefly Appeared On The Today Show On March 1st
Although fans saw her return briefly on Today on March 3, it was actually a pre-taped interview with Olivia Newton-John’s widower, John Easterling, and daughter, Chloe Lattanzi. The mother of two has been noticeably absent from the NBC show and an explanation was offered on March 1 by Craig Melvin. He said, “We know a lot of you have been wondering how she is doing. We can tell you that Hoda is OK. She has got a family health matter that she has been dealing with.”

Now, a follow-up update on her absence was given by her co-host Al Roker. In a conversation with Page Six, Al mentioned that Hoda Kotb was, “doing fine. She’s going to be just fine. She’s dealing with what she’s gotta deal with and all will be good.”
Hoda Kotb Shares Cryptic Posts On Social Media
Hoda Kotb hasn’t directly addressed her absence from the Today show and her ongoing family situation. However, she indicated that something was going on via her Instagram activity. Earlier this week, she shared a quote that read, “Choose hope,” and captioned the image with two heart emojis.
Before this, she shared another quote that read, “Sometimes miracles are just good people with kind hearts.”
The NBC journalist also shared a cryptic picture referencing strong women in her life and captioned it, “I see you… you strong women.”

Additionally, a picture of Hoda Kotb looking solemn made it to social media while she was picking up her daughter, Haley (6), from school. During her unexplained absence, fans have developed several theories with some claiming that Hoda Kotb has adopted another child.
One wrote, “Did you get another baby, Hoda? This is usually what happens when you go missing for 2 wks. Sure hope, it’s something good.”
Is Hoda Kotb Missing Due To COVID-19?
Hoda Kotb is a mother to two daughters, Haley and Hope, whom she adopted with her ex-fiancé, Joel Schiffman. Although the former couple ended their relationship, they remain friendly and co-parent the kids.
