Lisa Marie Presley’s Twins Losing A Father Too?
Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie Presley passed away on January 12, 2023, and now it seems like her twins might lose a father too. The 54-year-old lived a life of tragedy and loss before she passed away due to cardiac arrest. At the time of her death, she was living with her ex-husband Danny Keough. The ex-couple had been living together after their son Benjamin’s death by suicide in 2021. Now, after her death, there is a big custody battle soon to transpire. So, who will likely get custody of Lisa’s twins? Keep reading to find out the details!
Lisa Marie Presley Denied Spousal Support To Lockwood
Lisa and Danny, who shared a daughter, Riley Keough, were married for six years. They filed for divorce in 1994. Mere days after their divorce, she got married to singer Michael Jackson. However, even after divorcing Danny, she always spoke highly of him and praised their friendship as well. She also briefly married actor Nicholas Cage in 2002 and divorced him in 2004.

Lisa Marie Presley shares her twins with her fourth husband Michael Lockwood whom she married in 2006. Later in 2008, the former couple welcomed their fraternal twins Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood and Finley Aaron Love Lockwood. They ended their marriage after 10 years in 2016. When Lockwood asked Presley for spousal support, she made allegations that his personal computer had inappropriate images of the twins. However, the authorities found no evidence of the same.
Lisa Marie Presley Was The Primary Custodian Of Her Twins
Before her death, as reported by TMZ, Lisa was the primary custodian of her kids with 60% custody while Lockwood only had 40%. As per California law, by default, the right to the twins will be granted to their biological father. However, if he is deemed unfit as a parent by the court, others will be eligible to challenge his claim. A source close to Lockwood claimed that the father of two would double down on his efforts to acquire complete custody. They said, “It’ll be a cold day in hell before he gives up custody of those children.”

Given that the twins were basically raised by Danny, it would be unfair to the kids to lose someone they saw as their father figure. As per sources, he will also give his all to get the twins’ custody. He sees himself as their stepfather, even though he doesn’t get along with their biological father.
Harper And Finley’s Preference Matters In The Custody Battle
There is also a chance of Lisa and Danny’s daughter Riley Keough making a case for her step-sisters’ custody. Plus, there are also rumors that the kids’ grandmother Priscilla Presley might contest the same.

Given that Harper and Finley are 14 years old now, their preference will also be asked by the judge. Although it is unknown who the twins prefer as their parent after their mother’s death, there is a good chance they might pick their step-father, Keough.
