‘SW’ Fans Aren’t Buying Christine Brown Was Always Nice
Christine Brown is often portrayed as the “hero” of Sister Wives. She was the first to break away from Kody and forge a path of her own. Christine’s best friend and former sister wife Janelle joined her sometime in 2022. Kody ultimately left Meri and she’s standing on her own two feet as well. As of early 2023, only Robyn remains married to Kody.
Throughout the breakup, Kody consistently accused Christine Brown of bullying the other wives, particularly Robyn. However, Christine maintained that she was as nice as she could possibly be throughout their marriage. Most viewers have sided with Christine, but not everyone agrees that she was “always nice.”
Sister Wives fans think Christine Brown has the ability to be mean when she wants
Christine Brown has definitely been through a lot during her time as Kody’s third wife. She pleads innocent in most situations, but some fans aren’t entirely convinced here.
“Unpopular Opinion: I Don’t Believe Christine Wasn’t Mean,” a Sister Wives viewer penned a recent Reddit thread. “Let me preface this by saying Kody sucks and I hope everyone is mean to Robyn. But specifically, we’ve seen Christine be mean several times in talking heads, especially about Meri and Robyn. I don’t exactly believe Kody but it’s corroborated in their book that Christine and Janelle’s relationship used to be absolute sh**. It’s really only very recently that they patched things up.”
The OP went on to detail all the ways they believed Christine Brown could actually be mean, whether it was intentional or not.
“Although I will say that Kody is SUCH an ass that I can understand not wanting to give him ammo. I just sincerely hope Christine is actually doing the work to grow as a person, cuz we don’t need another perpetual victim,” they concluded.
Most other Redditors readily agreed with the OP’s points. However, another Redditor pointed out that they did agree, but just didn’t care.
“I don’t actually care if she was mean,” the Redditor added. They had a very lengthy response detailing how often Kody wronged Christine by manipulating her and withholding love. “Every wife in this family (that isn’t Robyn) has a right to be mad. If Christine was mean, guess what? It means she’s human.”
