Al Roker chooses “delaying and waiting” over his Today Show career. The television host is getting some much-needed rest and relaxation during this time. He’s suffered health issues in recent months. Al was in and out of the hospital due to the multiple blood clots found in his lungs and legs.

As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Al went on a Christmas getaway with his wife Deborah Roberts, and daughter Leila. Al shared an update on his health on Instagram. He advised fans that he’s taking advantage of this holiday break and may not return to the show anytime soon.

Most of the Today Show hosts are on break until the New Year. Al Roker may not be back until he’s 100% better. He informed fans of his future. The weatherman shared a clip of the roaring fireplace along with a shot of their dog in the snow on Instagram.

He traveled to the countryside for the holiday. Al shared an update about his health and said he’s still in recovery mode. He’s taking this time to relax and recover. The fan favorite also shared some advice that fans can use during the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

“It’s beginning to look a lot like #christmas but please take your time getting to where you need to,” Al Roker wrote in the caption of his Instagram post. “Sometimes, if you can, delaying and waiting is the way to go.”

Al Roker announced that he was leaving Twitter. He simply waved goodbye to the social media platform. This comes amid the constant changes and recent CEO shakeup. Elon Musk announced that he will step down from his position as soon as he finds a replacement.

“Thank you, Twitter. We had some great times, but it’s time to take a break,” Al Roker tweeted before deleting his profile.

It’s unclear whether his move had to do with the recent Twitter takeover. Fans applauded him for leaving the social media site. They look forward to seeing his updates on Facebook and Instagram. Others are simply happy to hear from him.
