Deborah Roberts needs a break after her terrifying year. Al Roker’s wife reflected back on 2022 on Instagram. The couple went through a lot together in the last few months alone. Al has been in and out of the hospital for multiple blood clots and other health issues.

He first returned home on Thanksgiving Day. Shortly thereafter, he went back to the hospital. Understandably, Deborah was concerned about her husband and asked for prayers. Now, she wants to move on from 2022 and into a new year ahead.

The Today Show host is back home with his family. Al Roker shared photos of himself decorating the Christmas tree with his family. The 68-year-old is currently recovering as he remains off the morning show for now. Deborah Roberts took to Instagram to talk about her 2022.

“Thursday thoughts… relax… breathe. Pivot,” Deborah Roberts wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. “#grateful for all the kindness.”

On Thursday, December 22, Deborah posted a photo of the snow on their lawn. The couple left the city for something quieter this holiday season. She is feeling “grateful” for spending this time with her husband and their family. Al Roker left New York City to enjoy a quieter lifestyle and get fresh air as he recovers from his health issues.

That same day, Deborah revealed that they were heading on their holiday getaway. She admitted that she’s “praying” for a good trip. This has been a hard time for Al and his family for the past month. It’s understanding as to why this year was such a tough one.

He remains off the talk show for now. Fans have been missing him on television. Al was also absent from Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade and the Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting. His Today Show co-hosts missed him too and visited him at his home.

Deborah Roberts and Al escaped to the countryside. They wanted to leave the city for snow-covered pastures. Hopefully, this gives Deborah the break that she needs. The couple is all smiles in the photos they shared on Instagram. Some of their snowy snaps included a kid-sized log cabin.

Al and Deborah Roberts went with their daughter Leila. They’re taking the opportunity to experience a down-home, quiet Christmas together. Deborah even shared a family photo of the trio during their card ride. All of them smiled at the camera.
