Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar used to post frequent updates about themselves and their children, but they rarely share anything anymore. This may be due to the negative backlash they have received over Josh’s child pornography crimes.
Because of their silence on Instagram, the Duggar family hasn’t shared any of their kids’ big announcements recently. For example, John-David and Abbie Duggar recently had their second child. While Jim Bob and Michelle would typically announce this on social media, they have not yet acknowledged the birth. They also haven’t announced any courtships or said whether Jason Duggar is engaged.
So, fans have had to turn elsewhere to look for clues about what’s going on with the Duggars these days. As TV Shows Ace reported, two previously unannounced babies made appearances in a recent video. This seemed to confirm their births amid plenty of speculation.
On Reddit, a Duggar fan shared a photo posted on social media by Kelly Jo Bates (Bringing Up Bates), sparking speculation about Jason’s relationship status. If you didn’t know, the Bates and Duggar families have been close for years. Surprisingly, there haven’t been any Duggar-Bates courtships yet, but fans think there could be one in the future.

The photo that Kelly Jo shared is of herself with a young woman named Claire Langdon, who fans think Jason Duggar is engaged to. This is because Kelly Jo placed a sticker over Claire’s left hand when sharing the picture of her on social media. Fans thought this was a sign she was trying to cover up an engagement ring. Jason has previously been linked to Claire Langdon, though it was never confirmed that they were courting. The Reddit user who posted the photo said, “I bet Jason is engaged to Claire Langdon.”
In the comments section of the Reddit post, fans agree that it’s odd that Kelly Jo would cover Claire’s hand unless she was trying to hide a ring. And many fans feel that the sticker she used draws more attention to the fact that she’s hiding something. Someone said, “I want to know the thought process of choosing that sticker to cover her finger.”
Also in the Reddit thread, a Duggar fan pointed out the fact that this photo is still posted without the sticker on Kelly Jo’s Instagram page. You can see it below. In that photo, she has a basic gold band on her middle finger. Some fans think she could have spun her ring so the stone is in her palm so it doesn’t show.
