Lindsay Arnold Excited About Latest Pregnancy After Previous Loss
Dancing With The Stars pro Lindsay Arnold chose not to compete in Season 31 this year. At the time, she said she just wanted to step back and focus on her daughter Sage. But now, it seems like she was keeping another secret. She likely would have been in the earliest stages of pregnancy at the time and wasn’t ready to go public yet.
Now that Lindsay has officially announced her pregnancy to the world, she’s taking some time to reflect. According to the dancer, conceiving another baby was very challenging for her and her husband. But she wants others to know that they aren’t alone.
Lindsay Arnold was hesitant when she realized she was pregnant again
Over the summer, Lindsay Arnold believed she was pregnant. However, she discovered it was a false positive. Sometimes this happens when a woman was pregnant but lost the embryo very early on. Many women don’t even know they’re pregnant when it happens.
PEOPLE had the chance to speak with Lindsay after she confirmed her latest pregnancy. She admitted she was afraid when she realized she was expecting again, but then became excited. Once she saw the ultrasound, Lindsay felt happy and at peace.
“That’s when I finally was like, ‘Oh my goodness, this is happening and let’s just trust the process,'” the Season 25 champion told PEOPLE. “I think that’s something I’ve really learned throughout all of the things, is to trust your body, trust the timing, trust God’s timing, and that’s what we’re doing.”
For now, Lindsay is focusing on staying healthy. She wants to be the best mother she can to the new baby and her daughter Sage.
“I’m glad that I’m in a place where I do feel very safe. I feel very good about everything and we’re just, we’re moving forward with positivity and hope,” the dancer added.
According to Lindsay’s social media post, the new baby will be here in May.
Other DWTS pros have struggled with fertility as well
Lindsay Arnold is thankful for her pregnancy but knows she definitely isn’t alone. Her close friend Jenna Johnson is expecting her first baby after struggling to get pregnant. Jenna’s sister-in-law Peta Murgatroyd has one child, but desperately would love a second one. Peta’s husband Maks Chmerkovskiy recently opened up about how the public stigmatizes infertility issues and wants to change that narrative.
“The difficulties with having a kid aren’t talked about in terms of this is happening a lot of women,” the Ukrainian dancer told E! News. “They’re dealing with it in a very personal, blocked-off, closed state way that is so detrimental to the psyche.”
Lindsay’s fans hope that she rests comfortably until the baby arrives. Check back with TV Shows Ace for more information on your favorite DWTS dancers.
