‘DWTS’: Gabby Windey & Val Couldn’t Be Working Harder
For several weeks now, The Bachelorette star Gabby Windey and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy have been tied for first place with two other couples. At this point in the competition, any of them could realistically win. And that’s why Gabby and Val are doing everything in their power to come out on top.
This week, there will be two new episodes of Dancing With The Stars. It’s double the entertainment for viewers at home, but double the hard work for the competitors. According to Gabby, she and Val are working themselves into the ground. Keep reading to see what she had to say.
Gabby Windey & Val Chmerkovskiy hope they have what it takes to break the tie
Right now, every remaining couple on DWTS is working hard and trying to come up with great routines. However, most viewers have their eyes on the top of the leaderboard. Will this finally be the week that one of the couples manages to get ahead?
“I think there’s been a little bit of pressure all of these weeks knowing that we’re sharing the leaderboard, but I feel like we have a system that kind of works,” Gabby revealed in an interview with Us Weekly. “Which is just, like, work ourselves to death during the week and see what happens on Mondays.”
Val added that they’re honored to share the top spot when the other contestants are Charli D’Amelio and Wayne Brady.
“It’s still early in the competition,” Val continued. “There’s still a lot of weeks left, and I don’t think that we have shown our best yet.”
As previously stated, there will be two episodes during week five of DWTS. Monday will be “Most Memorable Year Night” while Tuesday will be “Prom Night.”
On Monday, Gabby and Val will dance the Foxtrot to “If the World Should Ever Stop” by JP Cooper. Tuesday, they will perform the Tango to “Good Girls Go Bad” by Cobra Starship feat. Leighton Meester. It’s going to be a week to remember!
The couple is really feeling the heat
Dancing With The Stars Season 31 is only starting week five. In other words, there’s still plenty of time left in the competition. Gabby and Val need to work hard, but they also have plenty of time to win over fans. Even so, Val Chmerkovskiy admits there’s a lot of pressure that comes with competing with a member of Bachelor Nation.
“I want to say no [there isn’t added pressure] because there’s always expectations, but to be fair, yes there is,” the Ukrainian dancer told Parade. “Kaitlyn [Bristowe] and Hannah [Brown] won the show fairly recently, which is something that we’re going up against ultimately. That puts a lot of pressure on us, it potentially puts a lot of pressure on Gabby, but the truth is I think Gabby has created her own lane within Bachelor Nation, if you will. She’s doing the same here on Dancing With The Stars.”
Catch Gabby and Val when DWTS kicks off this week on Monday night at 8 PM eastern time. Tuesday night will have another episode at the same time, so don’t miss out! Stay tuned for more DWTS news.
