‘The Challenge Ride Or Dies’ Brings Ex-Fiancés To The Show
The Challenge: Ride or Dies premieres tonight and there are some big stories outside of the basic challenges. Former champions return to this season and some notable rookies join them. Two former top competitors have a grudge that might be even bigger than just previously competing against other.
After meeting on The Challenge XXX: Dirty 30, Tori Deal and Jordan Wiseley began dating and eventually Jordan asked her to marry him. She accepted, but that ended after filming The Challenge: The War of the Worlds together. That is when they separated. Now both are competing on this season’s show.
The Challenge: Ride or Dies reunites Tori and Jordan
The fact that The Challenge: Ride or Dies wanted both Tori Deal and Jordan Wiseley was a problem at first. Because of Tori returning, Jordan almost didn’t go back onto the show. In an interview with People, Jordan said when producers told him Tori was going to be there, he had to stop and think about it.
“[I] just decided, ‘Hey man, I was here first.’ This is something that I really love to do,” Jordan said. “I love competing on The Challenge and I’m super grateful for everything that’s come from it and I don’t want to be done yet.” It turned out to be a good thing because Jordan said the fans who supported them needed to see them finally hash things out, and the show allowed that to happen.
According to Tori in an interview with US Weekly, the reunion helped them put some of their past behind them. After their breakup, rumors of Tori cheating rose. She then started dating Johnny Bananas, and never spoke to Jordan again until The Challenge: Ride or Dies.
Now, she said “We are probably the best that we’ve ever been.” She emphasized, “Not ever been, obviously, because we were about to get married. But now we can definitely have, like, a nice relationship that doesn’t feel toxic.”
Tori and Jordan’s The Challenge history
Jordan Wiseley was originally a Real World: Portland star and won three different seasons of The Challenge. He won Battle of the Exes II, Dirty 30, and War of the Worlds 2. He also was a finalist in Rivals II and competed in five other seasons for a total of nine seasons.
Tori started out on the dating shows Are You the One? 4 and Are You the One? Second Chances. This allowed her to move on to The Challenge, where she was a three time finalist. She finished in the finals on Dirty 30, War of the Worlds 2, and Spies, Lies & Allies. However, she never won. She also competed on six other seasons for a total of nine, equaling Jordan.
