Duggar Fans Fear For Gideon Forsyth‘s Uneducated Future
Duggar fans are expressing their concerns for Joy-Anna Forsyth‘s son, Gideon’s education. A recent update from the former Counting On star has fans worried about Gideon being uneducated. So, what’s going on?
If you’re a fan of the Duggar family, you likely know that Jim Bob and Michelle’s 19 kids were homeschooled. Fans have been curious to see which of their grandkids are homeschooled or go to public school. As we’ve reported, Jill and Derick Dillard did send their son, Israel, to public school last year. The parents received high praise for this.
Joy-Anna and Austin’s choice for their son, Gideon, has fans concerned, however.
Joy-Anna Forsyth shares an update on Gideon’s education.
On Instagram this week, Joy-Anna revealed to Duggar fans that Gideon has started school and is in K4. Below, you can see one of Gideon’s first day of school photos. The little guy wore a green polo shirt and shorts as he posed outside with his backpack.
In her post, Joy-Anna wrote, “We are doing school from home and it wasn’t as smooth as I had hoped, but we made it through the morning and he did great! So excited to see him learn and grow this year!!”
On Instagram, fans are pouring in with positive words and wishes for Gideon’s school year. But not everyone had this same response.
Duggar fans fear for his future, and here’s why.
On Reddit, Duggar fans and critics are reacting to Joy-Anna Forsyth’s new post about Gideon. Many of them are worried that he won’t have an adequate education at home, which could impact his future, too.
In the past, fans have raised concerns about Joy-Anna’s education. They have pointed out areas in which her education seems to be lacking.
For example, during a Duggar family competition in an episode of Counting On, Joy-Anna was attempting to read and solve a clue card for her team. She didn’t realize that the “X” symbol meant “times” or multiplication. So, this is one reason why Duggar fans are questioning her ability to homeschool Gideon.
One fan says, “She has no business, absolutely none, setting this kid up for failure ahem I mean (her) homeschooling.”
Another talks about Joy-Anna’s lack of preparedness and writes, “Joy homeschooling her children is like learning to weld from someone who has never welded a single thing in their life.”
So, are you also concerned about Gideon Forsyth’s future due to Joy-Anna homeschooling him? Or do you think she will provide him with an adequate education? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more Duggar family updates.

Of course I’m concerned. She’s not educated. How can she educate her children?
There isn’t a single Duggar qualified to homeschool, including Michelle Duggar, who did the homeschooling for the older kids. Arkansas is very lax about following up on their homeschooling parents. Eventually it will cost the state a lot of money, when these kids grow up, get married and have families that they can’t support b/c their substandard education won’t qualify them for employment. They will all end up on public assistance just to feed and take care of the basic needs of a family.
