Katie has already moved on and started dating around. She loves the idea of meeting new people. Schwartz, not so much. He revealed that he’s “dreading” going on his first date.

The exes are living their lives differently. Katie has been out there more than her estranged husband. Fans thought it would be reversed. Schwartz explained why he’s not ready to date just yet.

Tom Schwartz has no approach to dating. That’s because he’s not ready to date just yet. In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, the reality star admitted that he’s not looking forward to his first date. The idea stresses him out.

“Hell no! [Dating] sounds awful to me,” Tom Schwartz told Us Weekly. “I’ve been thinking about this a lot, by the way. The prospect of dating sound daunting to me and I am dreading going on my first date. I refuse to do it.”

The TomTom manager is still coming to terms with the “major shift” in his life amid their divorce. The exes just moved out of their Valley Village home, which found a buyer this week. Tom Schwartz and Katie were together for 12 years. The Bravo star said that he’s still getting adjusted to being alone.

“I’m sort of just relearning how to be myself. Not that I was ever co-dependent,” Tom Schwartz explained. “I think that’s happening for some other cast members too. Reliving how to exist in the world as a single person, [is] strange. I feel dirty saying that.”

This should come as no surprise to fans. He struggled to write the word “divorce” in his Instagram statement. Despite the shocking split, they’re still good friends. Schwartz told Us Weekly that they reached a new place in their relationship.

Katie Maloney has a different reaction to their split. Unlike Tom Schwartz, she’s already dipped a toe into the dating world. She’s been meeting people organically. Just don’t expect her to join dating apps anytime soon.

“[I would like to] have fun and get out there and flirt and maybe kiss some boys,” Katie Maloney last told Us Weekly. “I can’t get in a relationship right now. First of all, I’m not even divorced yet.”

Katie is looking for a fun connection right now. She just wants to make out with people. She may even consider having a “cougar era.” Tom Schwartz and Katie’s friendship has been easy since they removed the “love” aspect of their relationship. Fans will get to see how the separated couple will fit in with the Vanderpump Rules cast in Season 10.
