‘LPBW’ Fans Schooled On Reality Of Filming & Production
LPBW fans got schooled today on the reality of televised drama.
One logical Little People, Big World swelled with frustration over the fan comments from this season of the TLC series and took to Reddit to school everyone on the reality of filming and production. This individual noted that they’ve grown frustrated with fans acting like they have a complete understanding of the Roloff family simply because of what they see on television. The individual proceeded to remind everyone they can’t forget the cameras and production equipment surrounding Matt and Amy Roloff’s family during every moment fans see unfold on television.
Scripted or re-enacted drama?
As TvShowsAce previously reported, both Matt Roloff and his son Jacob have admitted a lot of Little People, Big World is fake. Matt explained that both he and Amy like to exaggerate and stir the pot to create good television. Jacob Roloff, on the other hand, has noted it was comical how far from reality the show actually is as he feels like he’s watching alternate versions of his family on the television.
Is some of the drama just re-enacted? Now, it is safe to assume that not everything on the show is completely fake and staged. It, however, is highly unlikely a cameraman and filming crew just follows the Roloff family around all day every day for months with the hopes of catching in-the-moment drama. In fact, it is far more likely that the Rolof family just keeps the production team updated on what’s going on with the family. And, any time something interesting happens, the production team does what they can to re-enact what happened.
LPBW fan schools viewers on reality of filming
On Reddit, one LPBW fan reminded everyone that there are certain limitations to filming. For example, a production crew can’t just film whenever and wherever they want. Likewise, they have to take into consideration the sounds going on around them. This individual pointed out that LPBW fans seem to take issue with Amy and Chris spending so much time on Roloff Farms. Roloff Farms, however, is such a massive piece of property that it creates an ideal set for the filming of the series to take place.
“when you see Amy and Chris at the farm…it’s because THAT is the set. Just like any other television show, there’s a set that has been, on at least some level, designed with filming in mind. It is MUCH easier to have Amy and Chris go to the farm that it would be to set up another ‘confessional’ in their home (which would require an entire room at minimum).”
The individual continued to explain: “This holds for almost every other reality show. The Duggars used an entire BUILDING for their confessionals and ADR – but it was on the property. With covid, it was easier to film things outside (and that’s why we see so much being filmed outside and Zach and Tori’s and even on the farm). Having Amy and Chris take a walk on the farm, while being wired up by their pod of production, was probably easier than finding space for them in their house.”
This Little People, Big World fan noted that they just feel like other fans rush to judge the Roloff family without stopping to think about the filming and production that goes into creating the series.
