‘Bringing Up Bates:’ Trace & Lydia Throw Major Shade At Carlin & Evan?
Bringing Up Bates fans think that Trace Bates and his fiance, Lydia Romeike are throwing major shade at another member of the family. Many agree that it looks like Trace and Lydia are putting Carlin and Evan Stewart’s shortcomings on full blast. So, what happened, and what are fans saying about this whole situation?
Trace Bates & Lydia Romeike move into Carlin & Evan Stewart’s old place.
As we previously reported, Lydia and Trace are preparing to move into their first home together. Their wedding is in October 2022. They recently announced that they will be moving into Carlin and Evan’s old duplex. Carlin and Evan have just bought a larger home. So, it sounds like the timing worked out nicely.
When sharing their plans with Bringing Up Bates fans, Trace and Lydia also revealed that they are going to be renovating the duplex. So, they have plans to paint some of the walls and make some minor changes. The renovations are now underway, according to their most recent YouTube video.
Bringing Up Bates fans think Trace & Lydia are shading Carlin & Evan.
In their latest YouTube video, Trace and Lydia show viewers around the duplex as they begin renovations. However, throughout the video, they talk about how dirty the place is and how much work it is to clean it. They also mentioned how dirty it was in the first video about the duplex.
Over on Reddit, Bringing Up Bates fans are discussing the video and pointing out that Trace and Lydia appear to be putting Carlin and Evan on blast. Trace and Lydia even mentioned finding mouse droppings in the house. Fans think this should have been brought up privately with Evan and Carlin, rather than it being in a video for thousands of people to see.
One fan says, “I’d be annoyed af if I were Carlin. I think they kept their house clean but deep cleaning was prob not something she did much of.”
Another Bringing Up Bates fan adds, “Everyone keeps talking about how rude it is that they’ve been talking so much about how dirty the house is and how Carlin and Evan must feel hearing that but nobody’s acknowledging how rude it is to move out and leave messes for someone else to clean.”

It would have been better to have discussed it privately.
I feel Evan and Carlin had enough to worry about without worrying about deep cleaning their house when they left. They were on a time crunch to begin with and tackling Carlin’s health problems must be top priority for them. I don’t think Trace and Lydia purposely mentioned the cleaning challenges .. just making a fun vlog to please the fans.. Let’s give them all a break.. cut them some slack, and enjoy the vlogs. btw.. we all have to deal with a little mouse poop once in awhile.
I think it’s really stinky for a family member to say the things they are especially knowing that Colin has been extremely ill give the girl a break she’s the a new mom and having illness issues
