Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz have officially moved on. The exes have moved out of their Valley Village home. Katie likes date nights, while Schwartz prefers boys’ nights. Both of them have given updates about their newly single lives. In March 2022, they took to their respective Instagram accounts to announce they were divorcing.

Katie has moved quickly with the divorce proceedings. She cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason behind their split. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, the former couple put their house on the market for $2.7 million dollars. Of course, fans are wondering who gets the dogs in their split.

Katie Maloney shares an update on doggy custody

Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz share their beloved pooches, Butter and Gordo VonFriendenheimer. They loved sharing photos of their fur babies on Instagram. During Season 9 of VPR, Katie and Schwartz opened up about expanding their family.

Instead of adopting another dog, they wanted to have children. Katie mostly wanted to become a mom. They wanted to share their fertility journey with fans since it wasn’t easy. They had to consider their options since it wouldn’t be easy for Katie to have a child.

Schwartz’s diet and party lifestyle didn’t help matters. He couldn’t do what it took to make it happen. Thankfully, they only had to worry about their dogs in the midst of their split. Schwartz recently felt nostalgic on Instagram about his dogs and the Valley Village home they once shared.

He also took to his Instagram Story to share a photo of their dogs in the stairway of their old house. The Bravo star called him, “Children of divorce.” During her appearance on the Relationsh*t podcast, Katie Maloney said they will split custody of their dogs. It’s easy for them since they’re in the same group of friends.

Tom Schwartz went dogless on Father’s Day

Tom Schwartz was without his babies on Father’s Day. Katie Maloney revealed on her Instagram Story on Sunday, June 19 that both dogs were with her. She took both of them for a walk in their new neighborhood. The reality star admitted that he was “overstimulated” because he “misses his backyard.”

As for Gordo, he was caught getting freaky with his stuffed toy. This comes after Katie shared an emotional post about her old home on Instagram. She admitted that she’s not good at goodbyes. Though she knew she had to move on from Schwartz, she found it hard to leave the home where they made many memories together.

Earlier this month on her You’re Gonna Love Me podcast, Katie said she almost wanted to stay in her house. But, it would’ve been too expensive and too big for one person to live there. She has since moved into an apartment of her own.
