‘Zoo’ Gets Plucked From Netflix: When?
If you haven’t yet watched the TV series Zoo on Netflix, now is the time to do that as it won’t soon be a part of the Netflix world. The show is set to be removed from the OTT platform in select locations globally in July 2022. However, the streaming service provider will also remove the series from all the locations it serves with time. The latest removal in select locations is scheduled for all its three seasons.

For the unversed, Zoo is a sci-fi series by CBS which is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Michael Ledwidge and James Patterson. The show revolves around a mysterious occurrence where animals on a global scale start attacking humans causing them to seek shelter. The lead, Jackson Oz, races against time to solve this mystery before the humans have no place to hide from the attacks.
18 Netflix Regions Have Zoo Available For Streaming
The show had 3 successful seasons after being canceled by CBS in 2017. While the show aired on CBS, the series was picked up by Netflix for multiple regions. The TV series started in 2015, after which it was renewed on an annual basis. Other regions got access to this series only in 2016 after Netflix acquired the rights to stream it on its platform.
As per Unogs reports, about 18 countries have all 3 seasons of this show for users to stream.
Expiration dates have now started to pop up on screens for users to get a last look at the show before it is removed. This news comes 4 years after the final season of the series was added to its platform by Netflix.
Currently, the following Netflix regions are showing the notice stating that June 29th, 2022, is the last day to watch Zoo:
- Mexico
- Argentina
- Colombia
- Brazil
- Germany
- South Africa
- Iceland
- Spain
- Netflix UK
- Japan
This date means that this CBS series will depart from the platform on June 30th, 2022. Talking about Netflix UK, the region had already lost the sci-fi series long ago. The series was removed from the platform about 2 years after the arrival of its final season. The series was re-added to the OTT streaming platform in August 2020.
What’s In For Netflix US And Canada?
Netflix hasn’t yet decided on a date for the removal of the series from its Canada and US region. However, this won’t last forever. As per What’s On Netflix, the show could make an exit from Netflix in the United States by October 2022.
On the other hand, Netflix Canada will have the show streaming on the platform until December 2022. However, it’s worth noting that these removal dates might change in due time.
Will Zoo Be Available On Any Other Streaming Platform?
Although the show is making an exit from Netflix, it is likely to start streaming on Paramount+ owned by ViacomCBS. However, it could also make it to Netflix’s competitors.
