‘Jeopardy!’ Fans Rebel Against Mayim Bialik, Demand Ken Jennings Back

Jeopardy fans are rebelling against Mayim Bialik. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Ken Jennings handed the keys back to The Big Bang Theory actress.

She will be taking over the hosting duties for the next few months. Ken Jennings took to Twitter to announce that he was going on an extended hiatus. It’s understandable since Jennings was pulling double-duty.

Not only did he host Jeopardy!, but he was also filming ABC’s quiz show, The Chase. Most fans agree that Jennings should go on a well-deserved break. However, there are some fans who are not happy to see Bialik hosting the long-running game show.

Is Mayim Bialik messing with the game?

Some Jeopardy! fans accused Bialik of “changing the pace of the game.” Mayim Bialik returned to the show this week. Ken Jennings will not be on the show for many months. He will take a break but return before the end of the season. Meanwhile, Jeopardy fans are not happy with Bialik and claim that she’s messing with the game.

She introduced a new pace to the game on the Monday, May 9 episode. The former Blossom star resumed her hosting duties amid Ken Jennings’ months-long hiatus. The 46-year-old took to the stage in a plaid blazer, which she paired with a red blouse and black skirt. Jeopardy viewers took to Twitter to share their disappointment upon seeing Bialik on the screen.

• “I’ll be watching something else this week. Mayim Bialik is hosting.”
• “What’s worse than Mattea losing? Seeing that Mayim is the host tonight. Time to change the channel.”

Jennings and Bialik have been sharing the role of the host. The show hasn’t announced the next permanent host. Fans have been waiting two years to see who would replace the late and great Alex Trebek. Rumors have been swirling that the position could go to Jennings.

Ken Jennings takes a break from Jeopardy!

Many Jeopardy fans are disappointed since Ken Jennings announced his departure from the show. He’s taking a brief break as a host. The champion shared the news with his 490k Twitter followers. The 47-year-old also hyped up Bialik amid the criticism.

“I’m handing the keys back to the talented actor-producer-writer-director (!) Mayim Bialik for a few months,” Jennings tweeted. “We are lucky to have her! Thanks for watching, and I’ll be back before the end of the season.”

Some fans are not happy about Jennings’ announcement. They promised not to watch Jeopardy during his hiatus. They’re tired of the passing of the baton and want to know who will become the new permanent host. The legendary Alex Trebek passed away in 2020.
