In case you missed the news, Jill announced her third baby is on the way back in February. The baby boy is due in July. While Jill shared many photos to share her pregnancy news with fans, her parents didn’t acknowledge it.
Typically, the Duggar family Instagram page, which is run by Jim Bob and Michelle, will repost their kids’ big news. They often post about weddings, pregnancies, and births. Most recently, they shared a snap of Jed and Katey Duggar with their new baby boy, as well as a post announcing Abbie’s pregnancy.
So, fans were waiting to see whether Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar mentioned Jill’s news, too. They failed to post about the pregnancy and the gender reveal, though. And they likely would have done so by now if they were going to at all.
Online, fans have been talking about how the parents appeared to be snubbing their daughter. However, it’s possible that Jim Bob and Michelle are simply following her rules.
Might her parents just be respecting her wishes?
In the past, Jill has been open about setting boundaries with her parents. She admitted that they aren’t invited to everything.
So, it’s possible that she set another boundary and asked her parents not to post about her pregnancy on their Instagram page. On social media, fans have been speculating that the parents didn’t just snub their daughter. Instead, they might have been following the rules she made.
It’s also worth noting that Josiah and Lauren Duggar are rumored to be expecting their second child. Some fans believe the baby has already arrived. However, this couple has stepped away from social media, and Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar haven’t posted anything about their family growing either.
So, maybe more of the Duggar kids would prefer their parents didn’t post about these things.
Of course, there’s no way to know for sure what’s going on.
