Isabel Roloff Still Grief-Stricken Over Losing Mom
Isabel Roloff opened up to Little People, Big World fans about the loss of her mother and revealed that she is still grief-stricken. What happened to Isabel Roloff’s mother?
If you follow Isabel on social media, you have likely seen her talk about her mother, Toni Garreton’s death. She is open about this loss and talks about how the grief continues to affect her almost a decade later.
In case you don’t know, Isabel’s mother lost her battle with breast cancer in 2014. Based on Isabel’s social media posts, it looks like this loss has severely affected her in many ways. She often reflects on her relationship with her mother and how she is still processing this loss today.

In a new Instagram post, Isabel Roloff talked about Mother’s Day and how it’s right around the corner. She snapped a photo of a greeting card display and wrote a lengthy reflection about how she feels these days. You can read the full post here if you’re interested or a portion of it below.
In her caption, Isabel talks about how she and her mother used to exchange cards. It has been eight years since her passing, so Isabel wasn’t expecting this Mother’s Day, in particular, to affect her. But, as she walked past the Mother’s Day cards, she felt emotional.
She writes, “I miss her a lot. Not only because Mother’s Day is coming up, but because I miss being mothered.”
Then, she adds, “Just goes to show that grief has no timeline.”
At the end of her post, Isabel reminds her followers that they aren’t alone in their grief. She understands that Mother’s Day can be a difficult time for people. Hopefully, her post encourages her many followers.
Not only did Isabel lose her mother, but her brother also tragically passed away.
