Chris Combs Fake Padding: TLC Lies Exposed?
Was Chris Combs’ weight loss journey on Season 3 of 1000-Lb. Sisters fake? Did TLC encourage Chris to wear padding underneath his clothing to make him appear larger than he actually was? What started out as a bizarre fan theory on Reddit has started to gain some serious traction.
According to a video that was uploaded to YouTube recently, fans believe they’ve exposed TLC’s lies about Chris Combs’ weight loss journey.
Did they force him to wear fake padding under his clothing?
Fans believe TLC may have forced Chris to wear fake padding underneath his clothing to appear as if he weighed more than he actually did. Why are fans coming to this conclusion? Well, it has a lot to do with comparing his photos on social media to his photos on the show. Putting social media photos beside photos of him on the show, fans believe he looks like two different people.
Now, there is a bit of a time gap between when the show was filmed and real life. By the end of Season 3, however, there was only a little over a month of a time gap between when the season wrapped up and where they were in real life.
As we reported previously, it wasn’t too long after Season 3 concluded that a full-body photo of Chris Combs surfaced on Facebook. Fans were blown away by how incredible Chris looked and how much weight he had lost. Fans agreed he looked like a different person.
Keeping in mind there was not that much of a gap between when the show finished airing and when this photo was taken, fans were a bit baffled. How did Chris manage to lose so much weight in such a short time? Going back to take a closer look, eagle-eyed fans have zoomed in on snapshots of Chris in Season 3. And, they believe it looks as though he has fake padding on under his clothing.

This is the question that really has fans baffled. Why would TLC fake Chris’ weight loss journey? The whole point of the show is people within this family losing weight. What does the network have to gain by hiding Chris’ weight loss? Perhaps the network was worried Chris Combs lost the weight too quickly and the lack of a struggle wouldn’t make for an interesting enough storyline for Season 3.
