Might Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar put pressure on their children to have large families, too? The Duggar parents have 19 kids themselves. Many of their adult children are on track to have large families as well.

Currently, the Counting On couple has 22 grandchildren with one more due in the spring of 2022. There could be more on the way that just haven’t been announced yet.

Josh and Anna Duggar have seven children, Jessa and Ben Seewald have four kids, and Joe and Kendra Duggar have three little ones. Though there are several other adult Duggars with children, most of them only have one or two kids, so it’s hard to know if they plan on having lots more.

So, could Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar be placing pressure on their kids to have lots of children of their own?

Might Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar encourage their kids to have large families, too?

On Reddit, Duggar family critics are discussing the possibility that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar put pressure on their kids to have lots of children. The original poster writes, “But do you think as their kids get older, or as time passes by without an announcement, they start getting phone calls prodding them to go forth and multiply?”

One Reddit user says, “I’m sure they aren’t outright about it. It’s probably more like ‘Oh I’d love a new little grandbaby!’ or ‘So when is a little one coming?’ or ‘Is little Fern gonna be a big sister anytime soon?'”

Some critics are pointing out that these kinds of conversations happen in families without a lot of children, too. It’s not uncommon for a mom to ask her adult children when they will be giving her grandkids.

Someone else chimes in, “I’m sure at every family gathering they ask ‘Does anyone have an announcement they want to make?’ As they look around all expectantly.”

Of course, this is all speculation and there’s no way to know what really goes on at the Duggar family’s home. But critics wouldn’t be surprised if the kids do feel some pressure to have children. Even if Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar don’t explicitly urge them to have kids, they might feel pressured because their siblings are having lots of children.

So, do you think that Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar put pressure on their adult kids to multiply? Do you think all of their kids feel obligated to have large families themselves?
