Amy Halterman and Michael get upsetting news
Last week’s episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters ended with Amy’s doctor urging her to get a pregnancy test as soon as possible. Amy admits she was pretty sure she was pregnant with baby number two because she was having bizarre food cravings. Amy Halterman admits to the camera she loves her son Gage so much she just can’t wait to have a second child. She adds that having two children has always been a dream of hers.
After the timer goes off, Amy was quick to rush to the bathroom to get the pregnancy test. Both she and Michael hoped they were pregnant with baby number two. Unfortunately, she gets pretty upsetting news. She isn’t pregnant.
Why was this news so upsetting?
Amy Halterman explains to the camera that she and Michael had tried to conceive a child for a pretty long time before having weight loss surgery. After having the surgery, there was a period of time when she was super fertile. And, they were able to make a baby. As she moves further and further out of that window, she fears she may have missed the boat on having more children. She questions if she has other issues going on that are preventing her from getting pregnant.
Michael Halterman, however, was quick to comfort his upset wife and reassure her that they would just keep trying for baby number two. For now, they could just enjoy the baby they had.

Amy has to stop thinking that the “twelve tale sign” of pregnancy is eating a food and mixing it with another and calling it a craving, because THAT is not how pregnancy cravings are. Mixing foods together and eating them, is nothing more than mixing foods together and eating them!
She really should have lost more weight before getting pregnant with baby #2. Now she’s going to eat whatever she wants and gain a shit ton of weight. And it’s going to be even harder to lose that weight with two small children.
