‘1000-Lb. Sisters’: Amy Halterman Baby Gender Revealed
The moment 1000-Lb. Sisters fans have been waiting for is here — Amy Halterman has revealed the gender of baby number two. It was just a few weeks ago that 1000-Lb. Sisters fans learned Amy and Michael Halterman were expecting baby number two. Gage Halterman was going to be a big brother! Unfortunately, it was still a few weeks too early for Amy to know the gender. She admits to fans she’s hopeful she gets a baby girl to be Gage’s little sister.
Late last night, Amy Halterman uploaded a video to her YouTube channel revealing the gender of baby number two. What did the DNA results reveal? How did she and Michael react to the news? Here’s what we know.
Amy Halterman hoped for a baby girl
Amy Halterman admitted pretty early on in the video she was hopeful for a baby girl. During the gender reveal party, everyone took turns voting for whether she was pregnant with a girl or a boy. The vast majority voted girl.
It, however, seemed as though they might be voting that way simply because that’s what Amy wanted to have. Her sister Amanda could be heard in the background saying it didn’t matter what gender the baby was. They just wanted it to be happy and healthy.
Michael Halterman didn’t care what gender the baby was
Amy Halterman explained her husband Michael already knew the gender of the baby. He was the one who set up the sign for the reveal. She, however, clarified that her husband Michael Halterman didn’t seem to care one way or the other about what gender the baby ended up being.
Amy Halterman reveals the gender of baby number two
After everyone voted, Amy sat at a table with a sign featuring golden letters. The sign said, “the baby is…” After preparing everyone to see the gender, she flipped the page over to reveal she was having a… BOY!
Amy Halterman was clearly a bit disappointed to learn she was pregnant with another boy. She was excited for another baby and she absolutely loved Gage. But, she was really hoping to have a daughter. Her sisters could be heard in the background reminding her that girls are way more difficult than boys. Did Amy really want a miniature version of herself running around?
1000-Lb. Sisters fans hope Amy will find a way to move past the initial shock of not getting the baby girl she wanted and continue to celebrate being pregnant with baby number two.
