‘7 Little Johnstons’ Family Photos: Who Is The New Guy?
Recently, the 7 Little Johnstons family posted photos on Instagram. Turns out, the TLC family got together to carve some pumpkins. As we previously reported, Emma Johnston stole the show with her incredible oozing pumpkin. But, the photo left some fans scratching their heads. There was someone they didn’t recognize in the photo. Who was the new guy in the 7 Little Johnstons family photos?
Emma Johnston stole the show with an oozing pumpkin
Emma Johnston shared a video on her Instagram. A video you can click here and watch. The video featured her showing off the extra mile she went with her pumpkin. Turns out, she used vinegar and baking soda to create an oozing effect after she carved her pumpkin. She jokingly referred to it as “pumpkin jizz” oozing out of her creation.
Emma’s mother Amber Johnston took to their family Instagram account yesterday. She shared several photos of the finished products after they were done carving pumpkins. The photos revealed the entire family got together and enjoyed a fun Halloween pastime together. The final photo attached to the Instagram post showed tons of pumpkins lined up next to each other across the front of the house.

Now, the second photo in the collection of photos that Amber Johnston shared had 7 Little Johnstons fans scratching their heads. Who is the new guy standing next to Jonah in the photo? Did their family get another member? Did Emma Johnston get a boyfriend? Who is that guy?
One confused fan asked: “i’m confused…. who is the new kid next to jonah? is he an exchange student?”
“I think I missed something, is there a new member of your family? I keep seeing a cute blonde boy!!” Another chimed in equally confused.
A third chimed in: “The new kid looks more like Trent than his own kids do!”
Some fans even started to feud in the comments as they discussed who the new guy might be in the 7 Little Johnstons family photo:
- “I think they either did or are going to adopt him. I saw a preview somewhere showing them talking about adding a new member to the family.”
- “yes….God forbid they have a FRIEND over. That wouldn’t be dramatic enough for ya…. Who cares who he is. The family brought him along to enjoy pumpkins. D**n people get obnoxious.”
- “Jesus why are you so damn defensive? He just was confused and asking a question.”
Wait So Who Is The New Guy?
While his response was somewhat buried in the comments, Trent Johnston did respond to the confusion from his own Instagram account. One follower noted they were pretty sure the family had previously explained the new guy was actually a foreign exchange student just staying with the family for a while. Trent Johnston chimed in to confirm “yes” that was the answer to the question filling the comment section.
Emma Johnston also spilled the truth on her Instagram Stories a while back. She noted the new guy was a foreign exchange student from Finland. She also fessed up that her parents had NOT adopted any new children. 7 Little Johnstons fans couldn’t help but notice it didn’t really feel like Emma wanted her parents to adopt more children.
