Olivia Plath Reveals She Had 2 Abortions, Didn’t Want Kids With ‘That Person’

Olivia Plath Reveals She Had 2 Abortions
Olivia Plath had a strict Christian upbringing. It was only when she got older that she began to ask questions. The questions eventually caused her to take a step back. She now considers the fundamentalist Christian religion a “cult.” Her change in beliefs played a major role in the end of her marriage.
She married Ethan Plath in 2018. She was initially welcomed into the family, but later had major issues with his parents. The former couple’s relationship, separation, and divorce were documented on TLC’s Welcome to Plathville.
Olivia Plath left the reality show in 2025 after getting out of her contract with the network. She currently lives in Washington, D.C., with her boyfriend, Brendan. While promoting an upcoming healthcare event, she revealed that she had two abortions in the past.
“This is probably also a good time to mention something that I’ve not talked about a lot publicly, but I’ve actually had two abortions, and for each of those I took mifepristone,” she said, referring to the medication that is the center of a debate and recent court case.
Mifepristone is an oral medication commonly used to end pregnancies. A federal appeals court restricted telehealth access to the medication. However, the Supreme Court recently blocked the restriction, at least for now.
She Has ‘No Regrets’, Didn’t Want Kids With ‘That Person’
Olivia Plath revealed her own past abortions while encouraging her followers to attend My Body My Festival in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, May 28. All proceeds from the music festival are donated to the DC Abortion Fund. The former reality star shared more details in a social media video about her decision to end two pregnancies.
“My mom didn’t have the support I have to decide whether or not she wanted to be a parent or to have any kids,” she explained. “I knew from the time I was a child that my mom had more kids than she wanted or felt that she was able to take care of.”

Olivia Plath didn’t want that to happen to her, especially with the wrong person. “Having an abortion is a decision I’ve never regretted, truly. I knew I was not ready to be a parent. I never should have kids with that person,” she said. While she didn’t reveal when exactly she had the abortions, her comments hint that they were during her marriage to Ethan.
