Savannah Guthrie’s Mother’s DNA Submitted From ‘Crime’ Scene, Blood Found?
Today Show co-host Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was last seen on January 31st, 2026. Yet, she was not reported missing until February 1st. It has since been a race against the clock to find the 84-year-old Tucson, Arizona, resident. Now, her DNA has been submitted from her home, which has become a crime scene. Additionally, blood has allegedly been found, and it is a scary situation. Keep reading for all of the details that are currently known.
Nancy Guthrie’s DNA Submitted From ‘Crime’ Scene
When Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing, no one was quite sure what to make of it. She was not sick, but she was not in great health, either. The eighty-four-year-old was on medication, and without it, it could be fatal. In the midst of all of this, the big question was who would want to hurt Nancy and the Today Show host’s family. Did she have any enemies, or was this a way to extort money from Savannah due to her fame? Soon enough, Nancy’s home turned into a crime scene, and it appears she was abducted.
Because of this, Nancy’s “biological DNA” has officially been submitted to the lab for testing. As of now, the theory is that she was taken against her will from her home. This likely happened in the middle of the night, and according to Sheriff Chris Nanos, the investigators “have taken what we believe is biological DNA-type evidence and we are submitting it to our labs.” However, it is unclear what type of DNA this is, but blood was also allegedly found in the home.

Now, it is unknown where the “blood” theory came from, as that has been running rampant. Per the authorities, it is just DNA as of now. There have been no traces of blood that anyone is willing to discuss just yet. Regardless, DNA has been sent off and will be analyzed. Savannah Guthrie has simply posted “PRAY” on her social media page. That is all she is asking her Today Show followers to do during these scary times.

Savannah Guthrie and her family are willing to pay for their mother’s return. They have offered $2500 for any information regarding Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts. Despite needing medication and having some ailments, Nancy is very smart and quite sharp. This means she likely knew what was happening when and if she was taken. Many of Savannah’s celebrity friends have chimed in, and they are heartbroken by the turn of events:
