Viewers Recently Saw 1000-Lb Sisters Return For Season 8
1000-Lb Sisters follows Amy Slaton-Halterman and Tammy Slaton from Dixon, Kentucky. The TLC series, which debuted in 2020, followed the sisters through their health journeys, including their attempts at weight loss surgery.
Through the show, viewers have also been introduced to other members of the sisters’ family. Recently, fans have watched the show return for Season 8, which premiered on January 6.
With the new season, viewers are following stories like Amy’s Halloween wedding and Tammy’s volunteer work. Since the premiere, however, they’ve already been sharing their reactions to the new season on social media.
Recently, one fan showed concern that one of the siblings appeared to be something of the family’s punching bag. As the fan wrote, “Why do they always gang up on Amy on 1000-Lb Sisters?”

The fan continued, “It seems like they’re always attacking her, and when she reacts, they act like she’s the one creating the BS.” They also described Amy as “fragile” and felt that her emotional reactions were similar to those Tammy had earlier on in the series.
For many fans, frustration appeared to be building as the show’s seventh season came to an end. Amy admitted that her support system was dwindling as she prepared for her wedding in the Season 8 premiere.
