After reaching all of her pop star goals, Beyoncé turned her attention to dominating the country music genre. She released a country album, Cowboy Carter, in 2024. The album went on to win a Grammy for Best Country Album, which sparked massive backlash.
But Beyoncé used the country album as momentum to reach elite status. Forbes recently declared the multi-talented performer officially a billionaire. She joins her husband, Jay Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, and Rihanna as the five musicians to reach billionaire status. The honor came days after a country star was blasted for allegedly stealing from Beyoncé.
Big Country Star Blasted For Allegedly Stealing From Beyoncé
Streaming giant Netflix began venturing into airing live sports a few years ago. The streamer’s first-ever NFL Christmas Gameday aired in 2024 with Beyoncé as the halftime performer. The Voice coach and rapper Snoop Dogg headlined the 2025 holiday game.
He was joined by several performers, including Lainey Wilson, for the halftime at the Vikings versus Lions game in Minneapolis, Minnesota. While Snoop Dogg’s Holiday Halftime Party was widely praised on social media, many fans took issue with country star Lainey Wilson allegedly stealing from Beyoncé.
Both performances featured the singers in all-white outfits with cowboy hats riding in sleigh-like vehicles. Members of the Beyhive took to social media to blast Lainey Wilson for copying Beyoncé’s entire performance, right down to the outfit.

While some viewers thought Lainey Wilson clearly stole Beyoncé’s look from last year, others said it was meant as a homage. The defenders shared a reminder that the country singer was one of the few who stood up to defend Beyoncé’s country album and Grammy win.
Fans Question Lainey Wilson’s Thin Appearance
Lainey Wilson’s figure was famous a few years ago for the singer’s curves and ample backside. However, fans who tuned into the Netflix NFL halftime show noticed that the singer had lost a lot of weight.
“Someone needs to free Lainey Wilson from the shackles of Ozempic,” one viewer wrote. Another added, “Lainey Wilson taking Ozempic is a tragedy.”
